Ingredients
- 4 cups pretzel twists
- 3 cups Rice Chex or Corn Chex cereal
- 1 cup Bugles Original Flavor Snacks
- 1 cup Goldfish crackers (original or cheddar)
- 1 bag (10-12 oz) red, white, and blue M&M’s
- 1 cup mini marshmallows
- 12 oz white chocolate melting wafers or chips
- 1/4 cup red, white, and blue sprinkles (optional)
Instructions
- In a very large mixing bowl, combine the pretzel twists, Chex cereal, Bugles, and Goldfish crackers. Gently toss to mix.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the white chocolate melting wafers or chips according to package directions (typically 30-second intervals, stirring after each, until smooth). Be careful not to overheat.
- Pour the melted white chocolate over the snack mixture in the large bowl. Stir gently with a spatula or large spoon until all the pieces are evenly coated.
- Immediately spread the coated snack mix in a single layer onto a large baking sheet lined with parchment paper or wax paper.
- While the chocolate is still slightly warm but not hot enough to melt them, sprinkle the red, white, and blue M&M’s and mini marshmallows evenly over the mix. Gently press them in slightly so they adhere.
- If using, sprinkle with red, white, and blue sprinkles for extra festive flair.
- Allow the snack mix to cool completely and the chocolate to harden. This can be done at room temperature or in the refrigerator for about 15-20 minutes for faster setting.
- Once cooled and hardened, break the snack mix into bite-sized clusters. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week.
